kittens!
We finally did it! We adopted two kittens. They are from the SPCA of Austin and Travis County. They were part of a box of 12 kittens that was dumped at their door. They are about 10 weeks old. Their names from the Shelter are Chuck and Sue. Sue used to be Susie until they discovered he was a boy cat when they neutered him. :) The humane society worker quoted from the Johnny Cash song, "A Boy Named Sue." We have decided to rename them to Chuck and Stu or Stewie! Thanks to Mom M. :) The humane shelter workers called them "flame tipped" cats. We haven't seen this type of coloring, they have orange ears and tails and a slight orange tinge to their paws.
They now have 6 pages of pictures dedicated to them. Here's a list of the pages:

We brought them both home in that box. We had to stop by the grocery store for
litter and food. We went to Petsmart later on that evening for toys and collars
and all the goods.

Chuck is pretty good at climbing on the chair rungs. Stewie is smaller and less
coordinated so he kept falling off. They are so funny to watch skidding across
the Pergo flooring.

They both are good jumpers and pouncers and love to play. They play with each
other so well.

I took this picture
of the three boys sleeping the morning after we brought them home.
